Day By Day Tour Details:

We will greet you at the hotel in Manali where you will relax for some time. Later, you will be shown the bikes and biking related gears such as go pro cameras on helmets and then taken around the Manali valley for a short adventure trip.

We start out from Manali towards the breathtakingly beautiful Banjar Valley- famous for its picturesque vistas comprising dense Pine & Deodar forests, lush green meadows, snow capped mountains, lakes and rivers. We will also make a stop at Great Himalayan National Park- known for its rich and rare variety of flora and fauna, besides a stunning landscape comprising high alpine peaks and oak trees.

Crossing the Banjar valley, we proceed towards equally mesmerising Sarahan, also considered the gateway to Kinnaur. The gorgeous village of Sarahan is situated on the banks of Sutlej river and surrounded by Pine trees and apple orchards. We will make a pit stop at Bhimkali temple in Sarahan, known for its unusual pahadi style architecture.

Crossing Sangla valley, made pleasant due to thick forests, gushing rivulets and orchards, we will head towards Chitkul- the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. At a height of 3450m, Chitkul is situated deep within the Kinnaur valley on the banks of beautiful Baspa river with clear blue waters. Watching sunrise here is a sight to behold.

Moving on from Chitkul, we will stop at a place called Kalpa, situated in the Sutlej river valley above Recong Poo in Kinnaur district. Kalpa at a height of 2960 m above sea level provides majestic views of the mountains of Kinner Kailash range and is famous for its delicious apples.

You will be stunned to see the change of scernary en route to Nako as the lush green environment will give way to the starkness of a cold desert. The village of Nako is seeped in traditional mores and architecture. It looks disconnected with the modern world. We will halt at Nako and visit the old and beautifully carved temples, established in the 10th -11th century. We will then be headed to Tabo which has the largest Buddhist monastic complex of Spiti , which has been declared a protected monument by the ASI. The 14th Dalai Lama held the Kalachakra ceremonies in 1983 and 1996 in Tabo.

Its time to head towards Kaza which is the capital and regional headquaters of the Spiti valley. Dotted with narrow valleys and mighty barren mountains, Spiti is a dry cold desert and a “world within a world, as described by celebrated author Rudyard Kipling. Kaza, situated along the Spiti river at an elevation of 3650m, is popular amongst trekkers due to its central location. The contrast between the brown mountains and blue skies is a magnificent sight.

We will start the day’s journey from Kaza stopping at nearby ‘Key Monastery’, established in the 11th century and the largest of its kind in the Spiti valley. We will then halt at Langza village which has a towering Golden colored Buddha statue, believed to be 1000 years old. We will climb the statue overlooking the Spiti valley, visit the local monastery and collect fossils. At 4270m, out next stop Kibber is considered the highest motorable village in the world and has only 80 houses. On our return to to Kaza, we will stop at Komic and marvel at the beautiful streams flowing from the mountains.

We move forward on our journey from Kaza towards the stunning Chandratal lake (named due to its crescent Moon like shape), situated at a height of 4250m on Samudra Tapu plateau. Nestled between the mountains of the Chandrabhaga and Moulkila ranges, the lake is one of the most gorgeous sights you will ever see. The sweet water lake, with a circumference of 2.5 km, can change colour from reddish to blue to emerald green.

The 10th day journey will be spent returning to our origin at Manali. We will spend the last night of the trip in Manali.

It’s the last day of the tour and after breakfast, you can explore local markets of Manali shopping for traditional handicrafts, jewellery and woollen clothing for your friends and family. Later, you leave for home with happy memories.
